As the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve, it is essential that we remain vigilant in ensuring that we are complying with all state regulations related to preventing the spread. Even if you are young, or otherwise healthy, you are at risk and your activities can increase the risk for others.

Let’s do our part to #FlattenTheCurve.

NATIONAL COALITION OF 100 BLACKWOMEN, INC.-PA CHAPTER ANNOUNCES CANCELLATION OF THE 34TH ANNUAL MADAM CJ WALKER AWARDS LUNCHEON & ECONOMIC EMPOWERMENT SEMINAR

The National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc - Pennsylvania Chapter (NC100BW-PA) has made the difficult decision to cancel the 34th Annual Madam CJ Walker Awards Luncheon & Economic Empowerment Seminar, which was rescheduled to be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Sheraton Philadelphia Hotel (formerly Philadelphia 201 Hotel) located at 201 N 17th Street in Philadelphia, PA.

Every year we look forward to bringing together 1000 men and women for a day of networking, education, and entertainment as we honor Black female entrepreneurs and recognize our scholarship awardees. However, due to the growing concerns around COVID-19, and our commitment to prioritizing the health and safety of all attendees, we felt it was in the best interest of all participants to cancel this year’s event. All tickets previously purchased will be refunded less processing fees by September 30, 2020. There will be a separate communication sent to all ticket holders and event participants with information on the refund of tickets, sponsorship, vendor fees, and ad patrons.

We are truly grateful to our planning committee, vendors, and event partners who spent almost a year helping us prepare for the 34th Annual Luncheon. We would also like to thank all of our ticket holders and sponsors for their financial support of our organization which remains committed to advocating on behalf of Black women and girls for economic empowerment, education, and health.

Although we cannot physically be together this year, we hope you will continue supporting our organization by participating in our future virtual events and by donating to support our continued work in the community. We pray that you stay safe, maintain great health, wear a mask, and vote.

Warmest Regards,

Latifah K. Fields, President
National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Inc. – Pennsylvania Chapter
